How to Trace Your Family Tree on FamilySearch.org

You don’t need to spend a lot of money to research your family history. FamilySearch.org, a free site, has a large, growing collection of historic records, books, photos and family trees. In this class, you’ll learn how to search the databases on FamilySearch and how to share and preserve your own family’s photographs and historic records on the website.
Czeching Out the Czechs

George Mikiska will lead a program about genealogy. Topics will include how to start your family tree; where to look for information locally, nationally and worldwide; important Czech words used in genealogy, and helpful websites. Next up on our summer reading adventure is a return visit by the Domácí Czech Folk Dancers! This local group of young dancers will demonstrate some traditional dances and maybe even teach one to the kids. All ages are welcome!
Can you believe the summer reading program is halfway finished? For week four we celebrate historical heroes. We will be enjoying a visit by some vintage cars and another fun craft session.
Craft session—Wednesday, July 1 at 3 pm We will be making our superhero capes, a patriotic star wreath and a red, white and blue necklace.
Event: Old car visit—Thursday, July 2 at 1:00 pm The whole family can come see vintage cars, some close to 100 years old! Chat with the owners and sip some free lemonade.

Plus, anytime during the week kids can drop by our craft table to color, do a maze or create their very own superhero poster. And don’t forget our storytimes at 6:30 pm on Tuesday and 10:30 am on Friday.
